Recipe for success: Ayelada is the perfect hotspot if you're looking for a sweet treat with the homegrown mission. Offering four flavors a week allows the team to create in small batches, using milk from local farms making each flavor from scratch, giving super fans a reason to come back for more. It's a casual space that offers a family-friendly seating, bring the kids or a group of friends. Framed portraits of friends, family, farmers and livestock hang on the walls, as well as signage highlighting the dairy farms that they source their milk from. The cheery staff offer generous samples of each flavor if you don't know what you want and suggest topping combinations if you are looking to add on.
What we can't get enough of: The flavors! The toppings! Recent flavors include a seasonal, sweet and tart Strawberry Rhubarb, a Key Lime Pie, which was a powerhouse of flavor. Their recent offerings of Coconut Ash and Green Tea Matcha show that they pay attention to trends, as both of these flavors have been popular on Instagram the past few months. While each flavor stands on its own, you have many options for different flavor combinations. Toppings range from the healthy to the indulgent: mainstays of mango boba, mochi and breakfast cereals to fresh strawberries, pineapple, and fresh fruits while also highlighting Berkshire favorite Bola Granola as an option as well — try it with the Key Lime Pie, you won't regret it. You are probably wondering, how was that black frozen yogurt? I had it twice! On its own, as well as with the Green Tea Matcha, and it was #good.
