Desserts at Dottie's Coffee Lounge | Pittsfield, Mass
A morning fixture for many residents and workers in downtown Pittsfield, Dottie’s Coffee Lounge has served countless lattes, Americanos (for me) and sweet treats for over a decade.
If you are traveling to Pittsfield, whether for summer performance at Barrington Stage Company (near the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, or working at the nearby summer camps, This is the place to go for your morning coffee, your mid day meal or an afternoon snack.
For many of my friends, a barista job at the coveted coffees hop was a stopping point as they built their careers, and for me, it’s been the site many a business meeting, a friend meet up and an art show or two.
Dottie’s latest edition is desserts service at night. From her grandmother’s tiramisu to gluten-free brownies, owner Jessica Rufo and team are creating a nice weekend night option for those who don’t feel like drinking or want something sweet.
Jess shares some insight into this area of the business and some wonderful memories of her grandmother Dottie, for whom the coffee shop is named after. Read more in my column for The Berkshire Eagle.
