Tartine Manufactory | San Francisco, CA
One of my favorite spots during my time in San Francisco was Tartine Manufactury. There is something special about that bread! Our last day in SF, we knew we had to pace ourselves before heading back to the show so we stopped by for a late morning breakfast. This trip definitely inspired to try backing but for now, I’ll buy bread from the experts. Some thoughts on the food below in reverse order of consumption. :)
Our last “course” in our Tartine breakfast is one I’m still dreaming about: the giant, gorgeous gougère. ❤️ Made from the classic French pâte à choux, with a healthy amount of cheese and black pepper, this is the first time I’ve seen an oversized one. Eggy, peppery, and light. Ok, sure. I’ll admit it, I’m in love with a baked good.
A serving of sourdough bread, with a smattering of butter, topped with Maldon sea salt. Obviously we crushed it. 🥖
I have fond memories of homemade bread pudding: a light, eggy yet filling dessert, with warm notes of vanilla, cinnamon and studded with chocolate chips, I haven’t had it in several years. Having it at Tartine Manufactory brought me back to those wonderful memories.
Our final breakfast at @tartinemanufactory was a mission for croissants and sourdough! We ended up missing the croissants but had The first of many lovely bites. No lines when we got there but a long wait when we left!
