Cheap eats | off season dining in the Berkshires

Cheap eats | off season dining in the Berkshires

Let’s face it, the Berkshires are a different place to live in February than in July and August. It’s a skiers paradise and also quite cold! One plus is that the most popular restaurants are more accessible this time of year—no lines, no waiting!)

In the spirit of getting good food and stretching our dollars, I put together a list of restaurants that offer a discounted special menu night or are SUPER cheap eats. Who knows, maybe you’ll become fan this winter and brave the crowds in the summer!

[This list is subject to change, and is based on knowledge of these menus in mid-February. Please, Please check to see if special event nights are still going before making the trek. Happy eating!]

Frankie’s in Lenox offers a pretty straightforward $10 pasta night every Tuesday. Keep an eye out for their vegan specials night as well set those who might be looking for a good vegan Italian food.

The first on the list who is not featuring an off-season menu, the ladies at Smokey Divas offer some reasonable take out:  barbecue and a side  for as low as $9.

The second on the list with weeknight cheap eats, The Ugly Duck is the restaurant nestled in beer bar Thistle and Mirth. Tacos and craft beer? Yes, Please.

As with most things, make sure (again) to check to see if these specials or menus are still available! The closer it gets to high season, menus change and specials phase out. Happy eating!
