Recipe for Success: This Pittsfield hotspot has become an upper North Street staple, with a simple menu that plays well with a fantastic cocktail program. The welcoming space offers several seating areas: from the long family table for a lively celebration to cozy booths for a date or a one-on-one conversation. Plush couches with low coffee tables in the back are an inviting place for groups wanting a less formal evening. Nosh on olives and almonds, or try one of their newest additions, the Pear BLT: tomatoes, arugula, thick cut bacon, pear and avocado spread.

What we can't get enough of: Cocktails! Have a seat at the bar if you want to see what they do best. Proprietor Yuki Cohen, along with mixologist Caitlin Harrison, bartender John Burns and crew, are diligent about the cocktails they create and the spirits they make them with. Striving for excellence in their craft, their seasonal cocktail list is summer-ready: from the Labor of Love, which is described as "summer in a glass"; the Vesterato, a Mezcal-based drink featuring housemade coffee liqueur, and bitters; to a summer shandy. Not looking to imbibe? You are in luck! A refreshing spritzer may be in your future. I recently had a beautifully executed Negroni, but am a fan of the Sweet Jane, a perfect answer to the New England heat. We hear the tap list is worth checking out as well. Methuselah has a bustling weekend scene that is a must during a night out in Pittsfield, but mix it up! Mid-week is the sweet spot when looking for happy hour drinks or dinner with friends.
